RIDDLE — The Riddle softball team moved into sole possession of first place in the Special District 4 race with a 13-12 win over Days Creek on Monday.

The Irish (7-2, 3-0 District 4) scored six runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to pull out the victory. Kiya Miller delivered the game-winning hit, a walk-off triple with two outs that scored Kali Reeder.

Emilee Ball went 4-for-4 with a double and triple for Riddle, which finished with 20 hits. Mechelle Watson was 3-for-5 and Alex Gunn 2-for-3.

Keziah Perez and Shylo Budel each were 2-for-4 for the Wolves (4-3, 2-1).

"We had a lapse when it started raining harder (in the sixth innings), but were able to come back and get some big hits," said Riddle coach Darci Shivers.
