Guitarist Richard Smith, praised as being one of the world’s best guitarist, will perform at 6 p.m. Wednesday. at Oran Mor Meadery, 305 Melrose Road, Roseburg.

Smith has played guitar since he was 5-years-old. He began focusing early on the fingerstyle guitar of Chet Atkins and Jerry Reed. Smith plays a wide range of music, from classical and jazz, to the gypsy style of Django Reinhardt, bluegrass, ragtime and the blues to Sousa marches.

"After trying to book Richard Smith for most of my adult life...that dream is coming true," event organizer Shasta Ray said. "Richard plays lead, rhythm and bass all at the same time. Only a few in the history of guitar music can do that and do it well!"

Social hour will be held from 5 to 6 p.m.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Tickets are available at While Away Books, 932 W. Harvard Ave., Roseburg and at the meadery.

Food and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase during each event. Reservations recommended.
