Days Creek Charter School will participate in a Safe Routes to School walk audit and community meeting Wednesday.

The walk audit will start at 3:30 p.m. at the flagpole in front of the school, with a community meeting scheduled for 4:30 p.m. in room 215.

The school will use funding from the Oregon Department of Transportation to identify needed improvements on streets near the school to support safety. In creating a Safe Routes to School Plan the school will also outline opportunities for education and events to promote walking and biking to school.

Planners from Alta Planning + Design, an active transportation planning consulting firm, will be leading the planning process.

The school district is asking families to share feedback and experiences in getting to school online at odotsrtsprojectid.com.
