Douglas County track and field teams in Class 2A topped the academic all-state lists released by the Oregon School Activities Association.
Glide's boys team had the highest GPA in the state at 3.63 and Oakland's girls topped the charts with a 3.76 GPA. Oakland's boys track team had a 3.27 grade point average to finish 10th in the state and Glide girls had a 3.46 GPA.
Roseburg's girls track and field team also cracked the top 10 with a 3.79, while the Roseburg boys were outside the top 10 but still received honors for their 3.4 GPA.
The top 10 teams with a GPA above 3.0 receive academic all-state status, all teams with a 3.0 or above GPA receive points toward OSAA Cup Standings.
In track and field both Sutherlin boys (3.24) and girls (3.2) received points, South Umpqua girls (3.01) also earned a higher than 3.0 GPA.
Other teams to receive academic all-state honors were South Umpqua softball (3.53), Oakland softball (3.61), Roseburg girls golf (3.79), Sutherlin band (3.46), South Umpqua band (3.41), Oakland band (3.44), Sutherlin choir (3.09), and Oakland choir (3.31).
Teams with grade point averages above 3.0: Baseball — Roseburg (3.49), South Umpqua (3.22), Glide (3.08), North Douglas (3.06) and Reedsport (3.03). Softball — Roseburg (3.59), Sutherlin (3.73), North Douglas (3.47), Glide (3.35) and Reedsport (3.08). Girls Tennis — Roseburg, 3.65. Boys Golf — Roseburg, 3.24. Girls Golf — Reedsport, 3.06. Band — Roseburg, 3.58. Choir — Roseburg, 3.25.
