The Douglas County Transportation District is in need of a logo for its official letterhead.

District board member John Parker, Jr. is seeking submissions for logo graphics. He said the logo should be computer generated, the right size to fit on letterhead, and thematically represent transportation. All submissions must be the creation of the author and not subject to copyright.

Submissions are voluntary and no prizes, payment, monetary reimbursement or promises are offered by the district beyond consideration and personal bragging rights for the artist.

Submit designs to, using the subject line "district logo." The deadline is noon Feb. 11.

The Douglas County Transportation District board meets at the Roseburg VFW on Walnut Street in Roseburg. Its next meeting is at 5:30 p.m. Monday.

You would think they would at least offer a small prize. If they offered $100 that would be more incentive then bragging rights.
