What are you doing Presidents Day weekend? You might want to consider a trip to Reedsport for Confluence, a wine, beer and music festival from 4 to 10:30 p.m. Friday and from noon to 10 p.m. Saturday. Admission is just $10 for Friday, $12 for Saturday or you can enjoy both days for only $18.

You must be filled with questions right now, and answers are coming your way. What do you get for the price of admission? How about some of the greatest bands in Oregon. On Friday night you can enjoy Timberwolf and Candy Apple Bleu. Not going to make it until Saturday? You will have four awesome performances to enjoy. Starting off with Stillwater, Soul Pie and Hot Wax then ending the night with Gold Dust, a Fleetwood Mac tribute band. That all sounds great, but maybe you like to have a beverage before you get out there and dance. We’ve got you covered.

Many varieties of wine will be available from HV Cellars and Rivers Edge Winery. Not a wine person? Not a problem. Atlas Cider Co., Defeat River Brewery, Deluxe Brewing, Ecliptic Brewing, GoodLife Brewing Co., Mazama Brewing, McKenzie Brewing, Ninkasi Brewing, Ordnance Brewing, Sam Bond’s Brewing and Three Creeks Brewing will all be pouring at Confluence. With your daily admission you will receive five tasting tokens, each one good for a sampling of beer or wine of your choosing. Find something you love, and you can purchase your favorites by the glass. Find a wine you fancy, and you can even buy bottles to take home.

Of course, safety is a primary concern, and that’s why there will be a shuttle to the event provided free of charge. It will be stopping at three convenient locations closest to great lodging options to get you to the event and back. You don’t have to worry about finding a designated driver or a parking spot. The shuttle will be stopping at McKay’s Market parking lot located at 1300 US 101 in Reedsport, Umpqua Bank parking lot located at 1975 Winchester Ave. in Reedsport and Winchester Bay RV Resort at 120 Marina Way in Winchester Bay. During the event our complimentary shuttle will be running between these three locations and Confluence, which is taking place in the Reedsport Community Center, located at 451 Winchester Ave.

Do you want to come for both days of Confluence, but have your RV and don’t want to get a hotel room? Winchester Bay RV Resort is offering a great special. If you purchase one night of camping and a two-day wristband for Confluence, you receive a free night of camping. That is a great opportunity for a fun and economical weekend getaway. Call the Winchester Bay RV Resort now to book your spot, 541-271-0287.

Maybe you want to come enjoy the bands, but you have to make the drive home, or wine and beer aren’t really your thing? How about some delicious food? Harbor Light Restaurant will be serving up delicious cheese breads, sliders, shrimp cocktail, desserts and more. Double D’s on the Rocks will be offering triangle oysters from Umpqua Aquaculture, pulled pork, fish tacos and more. There is sure to be something for everyone.

Have you been able to envision your fun weekend yet? What if shopping gets added to that list? More than a dozen vendors will have their goods on display in the large, lighted, heated tent that will be up on Winchester Avenue in front of the Reedsport Community Center. Clothing, jewelry, home fragrance, makeup, skin care, art, cheese, fudge and so much more will be available.

What is all of this saying to you? That there is something for everyone who is 21 and over. Music, drinks, food, shopping, friends and fun. Sounds like a great weekend.
