North River Boats draftsman Joshua Laas, left, speaks with Elliot Snyder of Roseburg during the Explore Event at Umpqua Community College in 2017.

Students are welcome to explore career options during the 11th Annual Explore Event from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Umpqua Community College gym, 1140 Umpqua College Road, Roseburg.

This free event is designed to introduce students of all grade levels — from elementary school to those attending UCC — to potential careers and educational pathways in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). More than 40 local employers, representatives of UCC and four-year universities will be at the event.

This year’s event will also include information about careers in technology, natural resources, manufacturing and programs from automotive to welding. Free food and prizes will also be available.

More than 400 people attended last year. Registrations will be accepted at the door, but participants are encouraged to preregister ahead of time at www.umpqua.edu/explore-UCC.

It is great that after learning STEM education really is about the officials decided to introduce it everywhere in the country and now the children who have been taught by the stem principles can apply their skills in places where they will be useful. Another task that awaits STEM educated students now is the necessity to write a good resume. This is also very solvable these days. Since there is essay writing services review online they can easily find a resume writers there as well.
