Come join us in Historic Oakland, Oregon as we turn the hands of time back to the 1800's. Stroll along the streets of Oakland amid costumed characters such as the Sheriff, who may just arrest you and put you in jail. Civil War Reenactors will be on hand for you to see, up close & personal, what it was like to be Union or Confederate soldier back in the 1860’s. General Admission to the event is free. You can ride in a horse drawn wagon ($3.00) or attend the Civil War Ball on Saturday Saturday evening ($5.00).
Enjoy seeing how things were done in the Wild West. Watch a Wild West Show. See the blacksmith pounding out tools, or the ladies who are spinning their wool, or piecing together a quilt. Let the kids can enjoy a lesson in our one room schoolhouse along with many hands-on activities such as washing clothes on a washboard or panning for gold. Gun slingers, mountain men, a gold miner, and fancy folks will all be here in Oakland to delight event goers. There will be old-fashioned games, crafts, food, and live entertainment galore for you to enjoy. See & hear the old-time fiddlers in action, and a group of Can-Can girls as they dance around town.

Just 2 miles off of Hwy 5 at exit 138 (northbound) or 140 (southbound) we are a world away from all the hustle and bustle of 21-century big city life.
