Roseburg is a privately held and vertically integrated forest products company with
timberland holdings in both Oregon, North Carolina and Virginia. This position will
work out of our Vaughn office located approximately 15 miles west of Eugene.
It will provide supervision with direct financial and regulatory compliance
responsibility for all silvicultural activities. This includs annual budget preparation
& forecasting, management of silvicultural programs, supervision/development of
forestry staff, ensuring safe working conditions and participation in safety programs,
be in compliance with laws, regulations and policy, meet objectives, manage &
negotiate district leases/easements, assist with appraisals, represent the company
positively and manage district protection/security programs. It can be physically
demanding at times and requires the ability to traverse steep slopes in a wide range
of adverse weather and field conditions.
Requirements: minimum of bachelor’s degree in Forest Management, or a related
natural resources field, and at least 10 yrs field, administrative & supervisory
experience; strong technical, analytical and problem solving skills; good
communication skills and excellent proficiency in MS office and GIS systems. Must
