During the past month, UC-VEG has been out and about in the community sharing about the power of putting more plants on our plates and leading a healthier lifestyle. At events like the Community Baby Shower, Healthy Kids Day and Celebrate Children, attendees learned about a variety of community resources.

Sarah Smith is a UC-VEG volunteer. She lives a plant strong life with her husband and six kids. She has been a resident of Roseburg for 13 years. Sarah is a lover of nature, bread baking, good food and learning. She holds both a T. Collin Campbell plant-based nutrition certificate and Stanford nutrition science certificate.
