When God Made You by Matthew Paul Turner

I have been fortunate enough to be part of the launch team for several new books over the past year, but When God Made You by Matthew Paul Turner is the first children’s book I have ever reviewed, and I am so glad I got the chance.

This book is Turner’s second crack at children’s literature and I loved it as much as I’ve loved the first.

When God Made You is whimsically written and illustrator David Catrow brings the beauty of the words to full, vibrant life. Each page is a stunning work of art that allows the reader to feel the joy jumping off the pages.

This book from beginning to end is celebration of God’s most wonderful creation - His children. Every rhyme and turn of the page tells the story of delight God has in each one of us and the unique talents, quirks, attributes and interests He has instilled in each one of us.

A book of encouragement and affirmation, it is a beautiful and timely message to pour over our kids.

In a world that is so overwhelming with opinions about who we are and what we should be, I can think of no better message to plant early and often than the joy and freedom we have in being exactly who and what God created us to be.

When God Made You is available today at bookstores nationwide and, pick up a copy (or two) for the loved ones in your life.
