Man allegedly shot wife seven times
The Glide man arrested after a police pursuit Monday night allegedly shot his wife seven times after she dropped off diapers for their child, according to court documents.
Roseburg police initially responded to a report of a 35-year-old woman that was shot in the 2000 block of Southeast Downing Avenue.
While en route, police learned that 32-year-old Joshua Kramer had shot Belinda Kramer seven times and left in a pickup truck, according to police.
Belinda Kramer was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center with a shattered pelvis, according to court documents.
Her condition is unknown at this time.
Police began searching for Joshua Kramer and learned he had switched cars and was driving a Crown Victoria.
An officer spotted Kramer on Highway 138 near Hatfield Drive and attempted to pull him over.
Kramer didn’t stop and a police pursuit began.
Police said Kramer was traveling upwards of 70 mph on Highway 138.
Police laid spike strips down at the intersection of Highway 138 and Miguel Avenue to try and stop Kramer, but he swerved around them.
Then, Kramer pulled behind Abby’s Legendary Pizza on Highway 138 and stopped in a parking spot.
Kramer was arrested and his passenger, Eric Luna, was detained.
Kramer is charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault, two counts of unlawful use of a weapon and attempting to elude a police officer.
He is being held on $300,000 bail.
