Vandalism

Police footage of several juveniles allegedly vandalizing the Community Cancer Center in Oregon.

Roseburg police are looking for juveniles who allegedly damaged sprinkler systems at the Community Cancer Center in Roseburg on Sunday night.

Police said they suspect the kids came from the apartment complex across from Applebee’s.

In a video the police department posted on Facebook, three juveniles can be seen running back and forth across the parking lot.

As of Friday morning, the video has been viewed more than 9,000 times.

The damage — which cost $400 — has been repaired, according to CCC Executive Director Tammy Turner, who said it could have been much more costly.

“We had three teenagers that stomped on 15 sprinkler heads and they didn’t break the line where the whole line had to be replaced. We were very fortunate that they didn’t break the pipeline, it could have been a couple of thousand dollars damage,” Turner said.

Roseburg police Sgt. Jeff Eichenbusch said there are no specific leads so far.

Police are asking citizens with knowledge of the incident to contact the police department at 541-492-6794 and refer to case 18-4139 or email rpdpio@cityofroseburg.org.
