A Roseburg man was charged with reckless driving after speeding through a construction zone and crashing into signs and cones Thursday, according to police.

Victor Adair Haines, 36, told a construction crew working in the 2400 block of Harvard Avenue he was going to try and run them over after he got mad because of the road blockage, police said.

Haines squealed the tires of his 2009 Chevy Silverado before crashing into construction cones and fleeing the scene, according to police.

On Friday, a Roseburg police officer found Haines and cited him for reckless driving, reckless endangering, and second-degree criminal mischief.
