A Roseburg man was arrested Wednesday afternoon after stealing a walker off a delivery truck in the 400 block of Northeast Winchester Street.

Staley Bryce Hughes, 31, allegedly stole a box off of an open delivery truck at Rick's Medical Supply and rode away on his BMX bicycle.

Police found Hughes a short distance away where he had opened the box containing the $98 four-wheeled walker.

Hughes also had a warrant for his arrest.

He was charged with third-degree theft and lodged in the Douglas County Jail.

Roseburg is filling up with homeless campers thanks to the ninth circuit court ruling which decriminalizes camping in municipal public spaces.
