A Roseburg man was arrested Tuesday afternoon for trying to trade a stolen guitar to an undercover officer for methamphetamine Tuesday afternoon, according to the Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team.

After the exchange, Matthew Lay, 20, was arrested in the 1500 block of Northeast Stephens Street around 1:00 p.m with around one ounce of methamphetamine. 

He was charged with methamphetamine possession and delivery, and parole violation.

Officers later located the owner of the guitar.
