Glide High School will hold graduation ceremonies at 1 p.m. Sunday, June 5, at Umpqua Community College’s Jacoby Auditorium, 1140 Umpqua College Road, Winchester. The guest speaker is Carley Corrado.

Airel Farley is the valedictorian. She is the daughter of Cliff and Patty Farley of Glide. Her activities and honors include prom queen, four years of soccer, soccer team captain, four years of band flute, band president, National Honor Society and drama club. She plans on studying music therapy at Pacific University in Forest Grove.

The salutatorian is Jacob Thompson. He is the son of Mike and Jody Thompson of Glide. His activities and honors include a principal nomination from Peter DeFazio, appointment to West Point Military Academy, hosted his own blood drive, class president and National Honor Society. He plans on attending West Point Military Academy to study physics while preparing to be an officer in the United States Army.
