Multiple organizations and projects have received funding from the 26th annual Umpqua Fishery Enhancement Derby.
This year’s derby raised more than $100,000 to invest in fishery enhancement, restoration and educational projects. Below are the 2018 funding recipients:
Partnership for the Umpqua Rivers, Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, Smith River Watershed Council, Gardiner-Reedsport-Winchester Bay STEP, Umpqua Fisherman’s Association, Phoenix School of Roseburg, Douglas County Parks Department, McCullough Creek Instream Restoration, Big Tom Folley Creek Instream Restoration, Fortune Branch Instream Restoration 2018, Pass Creek Restoration, Rock Creek Hatch House Filter, Big Creek Instream Restoration, Rearing Pens Storage Shed, Water Flow Alarm System, Winter Steelhead Acclimation, Barrett Creek Winter Steelhead, Phoenix Canoe Fleet and Amacher Boat Ramp Paving.
Over the past 25 years, the derby has contributed more than $1.52 million in matching funds towards hundreds of fishery projects in the Umpqua Basin.
