U.S. Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Oregon, will hold a town hall meeting at 4 p.m. May 4 at Reedsport Community Charter School, Pacific Auditorium, 2260 Longwood Drive.

The town hall is one of three Wyden will hold in Southwest Oregon next week. He will be at North Bend High School gymnasium, 2323 Pacific Ave., at 1 p.m. May 4 and at Driftwood Elementary School, 1210 Oregon St., in Port Orford at 9:30 a.m. May 5.

According to a press release, the three events will increase to 896 the number of town halls Wyden has held since he was elected.

"Open-to-all town halls play a big part in what I call the 'Oregon Way,' where any person can ask any question in a public meeting," Wyden said. "Throwing open the doors of government for town halls to have these conversations is a must in our democracy, and I look forward very much to hearing from Southern Oregon next week."
