A Roseburg man ran through a red light and collided his Ford Escort into a Lexus on Garden Valley Boulevard Tuesday morning.

Michael Eugene Garcia, 40, didn't recognize the red light until he was in the intersection, according to police.

Tonya Jean Lancaster, 50, said she was stopped at the red light on Walnut, preparing to turn onto Garden Valley. When the light turned green she pulled out into the intersection and was hit by Garcia.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene by Roseburg Towing and Garcia was cited for failing to obey a traffic control device.
