No injuries were reported but a car and property were damaged at the Cow Creek Health & Wellness North Clinic following a suspected hit-and-run incident Wednesday evening.

Roseburg police were called to the 3200 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway to investigate a report of a car which had crashed into the back side of the health clinic, sheared off a light pole and damaged more than 100 feet of fencing, according to a police report.

The driver of the gray 2009 Pontiac G6, Joshua Zernicke, 24, of Sutherlin, claimed that a black BMW had clipped his car, causing him to lose control of the Pontiac.

The sheared light pole ended up penetrating the roof of the health center, and fragments of automobile light glass were also on the roof.

The investigation is ongoing. Eyewitnesses with information related to the crash can call 541-440-4471 and reference case number 22-2279.
