Douglas County sheriff

5:25 a.m. — Man is standing outside a coffee shop with a rope in his hands in the 4400 block of Old Highway 99 South, Roseburg.

6:54 a.m. — Man is threatening to kill his girlfriend because she let his cat outside in the 2200 block of Lookingglass Road, Roseburg.

11:01 a.m. — Unattended death reported in the 200 block of Corn Creek Road, Days Creek.

11:19 a.m. — Caller bought an item from a couple who were claiming to sell gold, but the item isn’t made of gold in the 100 block of Chief Miwaleta Lane, Canyonville.

1:56 p.m. — Neighbor has a camera pointed at the caller’s window in the 70 block of Manor Loop, Roseburg.

8:43 p.m. — Unattended death reported in the 300 block of Old Booth Lane, Azalea.

10:33 p.m. — Caller thinks her neighbor is living in her attic in the 200 block of Valley View Road, Sutherlin.


11:07 a.m. — Vehicle just left the road and crashed into a ditch on Highway 101 near milepost 216, Winchester Bay.


The News-Review publishes the names of individuals who have been arrested on suspicion of at least one felony charge or three misdemeanors or a combination of felony and misdemeanor charges.


Douglas County sheriff

Allen Brian Nagy, 34, of Roseburg, on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Ryan Patrick Smith, 40, of Oakland, on suspicion of heroin possession and a felony probation violation.

Jonathon Richard Wilkerson, 43, of Camas Valley, on suspicion of driving under the influence of intoxicants, driving while suspended or revoked, reckless driving, recklessly endangering another person, attempting to commit a Class C felony, failure to perform the duties to injured persons, first-degree criminal mischief and menacing.

Roseburg police

Patty Lou Bever, 27, of Roseburg, on suspicion of methamphetamine possession, methamphetamine delivery, first-degree failure to appear and resisting arrest.

Zachary Thor Schwab, 36, of Roseburg, on suspicion of three counts of menacing and second-degree disorderly conduct.

Winston police

Leslie Jean Stanford, 42, of Myrtle Creek, on suspicion of first-degree burglary and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
