Political theater is the only invasion. It's nothing more than a technique that uses fear to influence voters before our mid-term elections. There are a large group of families fleeing harm in their country of origin walking their way to our border.

We have immigration law in place for asylum seekers. Those laws should be followed. Further, if Congress wanted to revise/update immigration law, they would. They don't seem too interested in addressing the concerns of their constituents. However, they are concerned with power, who will hold it, and how to maintain it. Hence, the lies being told to incite voters. Apparently, it's working. But if you watch FOX Entertainment News, you should have seen what Shep Smith said about the asylum seekers making their way north to our border at some point in the next 2 months: https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2018/10/31/shep_smith_there_is_no_invasion_no_one_is_coming_to_get_you_theres_nothing_at_all_to_worry_about.html

I find it reprehensible to disparage families seeking safety in our country for purely political purpose. This should be about people, our fellow human beings, rather than the distasteful side of politicians.

so why did you delete my reply to Jimfest? You let him call me a racist and a fascist but when I respond with any name calling and in the nicest way I can think of you delete it. You let the left say what they want but any response is forbidden?

TravelingSalesman

Absolutely.
By definition, large numbers of people who're entering one Nation from another Nation without permission represent an INVASION.
There seems to be no way to sugar coat that. We can attempt to call it all sorts of things, but it's a simple invasion.
Assylum seekers are afforded many opportunities in other nations to apply for assylum here, and they've ignored those.
MILITARY has few actual duties as a whole, and their primary reason to exist in the first place is to answer attacks and invasions. Witnesses the"Dreamer Program" and it's failure to attract even 10% of those qualified.
The INVASION is coming from a force wishing only to take any oblivious to the calls for participation and sharing.
I've heard the media expressing concerns about violating Pose Comitatis, and that shows ignorance of that statute. It's clearly in place to forbid the use of the military against our own citizens. These invaders are clearly not involking any claims to citizenship, in fact they enschew the very clear offers of citizenship.

I'd rather have people of color as neighbors than low-information, low-intelligence, racist (white) folk that support a dictatorial racist (white) nationalist with the education of a young (white) boy.

Keith51

And your not a racist? Because I support the laws of our country does not make me a racist! Because I have white skin does not make me a racist! I am tired of being called a racist because I was born white!

jimfest

If you support tRump, at best, you're overtly racist. If you support the "laws" of this land put forward by tRump, you're racist. And a fascist!

Keith51

I understand people with limited mentalities believe every word coming out of the mouths of the talking heads and and have to parrett them every chance they get without any original thought of their own.

Fredhendee

I believe jimfest is a coward hiding behind aninimity

jimfest

Keith, shame on you for following the false narrative diatribe put forth by Faux News. Also, the word is parrot, not 'parrett'. Stay white, though, just not too white👍

jimfest

Hey, Fred! It's anonymity. But go ahead, run with it👍

Mogie

Jimfest racists come in all sizes, colors and income brackets. So there are racists of all colors and political backgrounds. Just because someone disagrees with your political stance doesn't make them racist. Everyone is entitled to their opinion even you.

jimfest

True that. All I'm saying is, if you support tRump, you're overtly racist and fascist, regardless of color. I, myself, am embarrassed to be Caucasian in tRump's white america.

Mogie

I support Trump but not for racist reasons mine have been financial. I firmly believe that the best person should get the job, college position or whatever. The decision shouldn't be based on the color of ones skin whatever color that might be. I also feel that a person's gender shouldn't come into account. It is just logical to give the job or whatever to the best qualified person.

bohica13

Ignore them, Mogie. It's a common tag libbies put on people and topics they can't comprehend. Kiss them on the forehead, and send them off to Clintonville.

Move to South Africa. You'll LOVE it!

jimfest

How is that different, from a racial perspective, from the states?
