The Douglas County Sheriff's Office has concluded its investigation into the death of a 23-year-old male who died of a gunshot wound Friday.

The male victim has been identified as Josman Cereceres of Portland.

The Douglas County Medical Examiner's Office concluded Cereceres died of an accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound.

At approximately 10 p.m. Friday, deputies and emergency personnel responded to the 300 block of Temple Brown Road, Roseburg, and found Cereceres with a critical gunshot wound. He was transported to Mercy Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased.

There will be no criminal charges.

In its first press release about the incident, the sheriff's office had inaccurately stated the call was received at 10:07 a.m., when in fact the initial 911 call took place at 10:07 p.m.

How did they cops determine that the gunshot wound was accidental and not suicide? Was the guy hunting? Was he alone? Any witnesses?

If anyone has more information about this and maybe if they can identify the name. I would really appreciate this.

How do you accidentally shot yourself? By ignoring basic safety rules.

But with a shot gun? Maybe a hunter crawling over a fence or a mishap cleaning it but other then that a shot gun is too long how would you turn in around and then still be able to reach the trigger?

Facts don't lie

Mogie get your facts right before you spew nonsense. No where does it say it was a shotgun. Secondly cops use things like evidence to figure out what happened. If it was a suicide I think they would determine that.

For some reason I got the shotgun idea stuck in my head. Brain fartt!
