The Roseburg VA Medical Center will begin limiting after hours access to both pedestrian and vehicle traffic June 27.

The entrance at 913 NW Garden Valley Blvd. will be gated and closed to all traffic from 5 p.m. to 6 a.m. Access to the campus will remain open through the Harvard Avenue entrance at the Roseburg National Cemetery.

A VA spokesman said the decision to limit access is a precautionary move to curtail unnecessary traffic, ensure screening for all who enter and reduce staffing necessary to complete the screenings during non-peak hours.

It is not expected to impact veteran services.
