LOWELL — The visiting Glide Wildcats outscored Lowell 39-6 over the second and third quarters on their way to a 62-40 nonleague boys basketball victory Wednesday night.

Lowell jumped out to a hot start against the cold-shooting Wildcats, racing to a 21-6 lead after the first quarter. Glide found its shooting touch and cranked up the defensive pressure in the second quarter, outscoring the host Devils 22-1.

"We couldn't hit the ocean from the beach in the first quarter," Glide coach Jeff Smith said. "The rest of the game we really pounded the boards, it just took us a little while to put the ball in the basket."

Colby Bucich had a game-high 20 points and season-high 18 rebounds for the Wildcats, while Coby Pope added 10 points and a season-high 15 boards. Clay Mornarich chipped in nine points and Dylan Ackerman scored seven for Glide, which is scheduled to host La Pine Friday.
