RIDDLE — Senior point guard Landon Kruzic scored a career-high 30 points and the Days Creek boys basketball team defeated Riddle 78-58 in a Skyline League game on Tuesday night.
It was a season-high point total for the Wolves (8-8, 6-1 Skyline), who are tied with North Douglas for second place behind Myrtle Point in the league standings.
Kruzic had 12 points in the fourth quarter, converting 6 of 6 free throws, and grabbed nine rebounds and made four steals in the contest. Keith Gaskell contributed 17 points, eight boards and seven assists, and sophomore Keegan Stufflebeam had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
"It was a high energy game," Days Creek coach James Ellis said. "Riddle did a great job of running their offense and put us on our heels. Landon (Kruzic) was amazing — he was doing everything."
