BEND — Juri Moros made a 28-yard field goal with 18 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, lifting third-seeded South Umpqua to a 24-21 win over the No. 7 Vale Vikings in a Class 3A football semifinal playoff game Saturday at Caldera High School.

That kick vaulted South Umpqua into the Class 3A state title game next Saturday, likely at Cottage Grove. The Lancers (11-1) will face No. 1 Siuslaw (11-0), a 28-26 winner over No. 5 La Pine in Cottage Grove Saturday in the other semifinal.
