CAMAS VALLEY — The Camas Valley girls basketball team got free throws from Miriam Stoffal and Rowoen Plikat in overtime and pulled out a 28-26 win over Pacific on Tuesday in a Skyline League girls basketball game.

Julie Amos led the Hornets (6-5, 2-1 Skyline South) with nine points. Kaycie Hamilton scored all seven of her points in the fourth quarter, including a 3-pointer with under 15 seconds left to tie it up and send the contest into overtime.

Rowoen Plikat also grabbed eight rebounds and Rhegan Plikat made five steals.

Freshman Mikaila Royal scored 12 points for the Pirates (5-6, 2-1 South).

"It was a great game and a big win for us," C.V. coach Keri Ewing said. "It was hard fought by both sides."

Class 1A Camas Valley will play a nonleague game at 3A South Umpqua Thursday.
