ELKTON — Days Creek outscored Elkton 6-1 in overtime and pulled out a 32-27 win on Tuesday night in the Skyline League girls basketball opener for both teams at Grimsrud Gym.

Riley Crume led the Wolves (4-4, 1-0 Skyline North) with 10 points. Bailey Stufflebeam had three of her six points in overtime.

Meleka Byle had eight points, including a free throw with no time left in regulation, to force the extra session for the Elks (2-8, 0-1 North). Olivia Humphries contributed seven points and nine rebounds, and Camille Peters grabbed 12 boards.

"Boxing out (hurt us in the loss)," Elkton coach Noah Miller said. "We gave up a lot of second-chance shots."

Elkton is scheduled to host Yoncalla and Days Creek will be at home against Cascade Christian Friday.
