TOLEDO — Junior Savannah Harkins scored a season-high 18 points, made five steals and grabbed six rebounds, and the North Douglas girls basketball team rolled past Trinity Lutheran 59-25 on Saturday to end the Toledo Holiday Tournament.

Samantha MacDowell contributed nine points and seven steals for the Warriors (7-2), who have won six straight. Cydni Dill had eight points and six rebounds, Asia Ward chipped in seven points, and Brooke McHaffie added seven points and six boards.

North Douglas led 30-14 at halftime. The Warriors are ranked No. 5 and Trinity Lutheran (5-3) No. 9 in the OSAA Class 1A coaches poll.

North Douglas assistant coach Rocky Rodgers felt the Warriors did a strong defensive job on Saints senior standout Elli Kent, holding her to eight points.

"This was a good way to ring in the New Year," Rodgers said. "It was probably our most complete game of the season."

North Douglas begins Skyline League play Tuesday, visiting Yoncalla (5-1).
