YONCALLA — The North Douglas girls basketball team opened Skyline League play on Tuesday night with a 62-32 rout of Yoncalla at Duncan Court.

Samantha MacDowell scored 17 points for the Warriors (8-2, 1-0 Skyline North), who have won seven straight games. Freshman Brooklyn Cyr contributed a season-high nine points, Brooklyn Williams had six assists and six steals and Brooke McHaffie grabbed six rebounds.

Nichole Noffsinger scored 13 of her 15 points in the second half for the Eagles (5-2, 0-1 North), who trailed 35-10 at halftime. Noffsinger also had eight rebounds and 12 blocked shots. Allison Van Loon chipped in 11 points and six boards.
