What!!!!???? The "we're going broke and we have to close our libraries, County," has $120 million dollars to buy property? Wow . . . I see a lawsuit against the County in our future . . .

Interesting perspectives offered here. Keith Cubic was always a sycophant to the single Commissioner he perceived as "having the power," in the County. He did not evoke respect from his colleagues nor was he trusted among his Department Head peers. Cubic did not serve his bosses eq…

If this man has any credibility he'll stop referencing filling Cubic's shoes. Keith Cubic didn't have a moral compass that extended beyond the favors he could maneuver for the Douglas County Commissioners and their cronies. Cubic gave Boy Scouts a very bad name.

Dallas 'Heard' is an oxymoron with emphasis on "moron." You need to show up as a candidate. Sorry NR it was low hanging fruit . . . too easy and right there for the taking!

Two things easy to do in Douglas County, Oregon: 1) Elect a white privileged male Republican; 2) Raise money as a candidate if you are a privileged white male Republican and use these words: "We need to support the timber industry logging more public lands."

He had me at "increased transparency!" Nothing like an OPEN government for the people, by the people and of the people.

He needs to go back to mowing the grass. He's out of his league with Souza on the ticket. Her intellect "trumps," his privilege.

Clearly Southern Oregon's future rests in electing young women to office. Maintaining the status quo will simply result in more of the same old sad story.

S

Sigh . . . . dust off the cobwebs for more of the same.

S

. . . getting closer to moving beyond the status quo but not enough.
